πŸŒπŸ’™ International Day of Sign Languages – Ontario Joins In! πŸ’™πŸŒ

Across Ontario, cities are joining the Deaf community to recognize the International Day of Sign Languages on September 23.

Cities will raise the IDSL flag at City Halls and community spaces.

Landmarks will be lit up in blue, symbolizing unity and the importance of sign languages worldwide.

This province-wide celebration is about visibility, awareness, and pride. Every flag raised and every light turned blue sends a message: sign languages matter, Deaf culture matters, and inclusion matters.

Look for events in your city, whether it’s a flag raising or a light-up, and be part of the story. If we’ve missed a city, please let us know and we’ll update the video list so the celebration is fully recognized across Ontario.
