ASL Linguistics: Structure and Culture of American Sign Language

This immersive course delves into the foundational structure of American Sign Language (ASL), exploring its phonology, morphology, and syntax. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of ASL as a rich, visual-spatial language. Led by native signers, the program also offers meaningful engagement with Deaf culture, providing an authentic and transformative learning experience.

The course includes 8 sessions, held over four weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST:

  • September 16 & 18

  • September 23 & 25

  • September 30 & October 2

  • October 7 & 9
